In 2015, I completed and exhibited a series of paintings and interviews that I called  “This is Home.” My interest in home and how we depict home began many years ago with a painting my great-grandmother made of my Grandmother’s childhood home. This painting on ceramic hung on the wall in my Grandparents' dining room and I was always very curious about it.

Inspired by a snowy morning

As the year nears an end, I’ve been considering the many things for which I am grateful. Inspiration Corporation is near the top of my list each year. This year was the 10th year that I’ve volunteered Wednesday mornings, serving restaurant-style breakfast to guests affected by homelessness and poverty.

Mini House Portraits

Over the years that I have painted, I have been commmissioned for many house portraits. As an architect, in particular, I am drawn to painting buildings and people love having paintings of their home or giving house portraits as a present. Depending on the size, home portraits can be fairly time intensive to creative and therefore fairly expensive, on account of my time. I was thrilled recently to stumble upon the idea of a mini house portrait.
